Is Texas
Recession Proof?
You
would have to live in a bubble not to hear the buzz concerning our
nation's current economic condition. Everyone has been
affected or knows someone that is experiencing financial
stress. But, are Texans faring better than the rest of our nation?
The graph below depicts a dreary, continuous, upswinging national
unemployement rate.
Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor
Statistics
The
good news
is, according to the Texas Workforce Commission as of June 2009,
Texas unemployment was 7.5%. That is 2% below the
national average which is at 9.5%. Although, only two Texas
industries, education and health services and leisure and
hospitality and the government sector, had more jobs in June 2009
than in June 2008. The other nine industries experienced net job losses.
So, if you are looking for an increase in job security, you may
want to check into those sectors of the Texas marketplace.

PRONTO CHEAPER THAN UPS OR FEDEX?
When scheduling local shipments that can deliver in
one to two days, people most often think that shipping UPS or
FedEx is the most cost effective option. THINK AGAIN! On multiple
box and/or heavier shipments, using Pronto is the most economical
choice. AND, your customer will often receive the product the
same day. So, for cheaper, faster deliveries for your
local DFW or Houston deliveries, think PRONTO not UPS or
FedEx. Call us anytime for a quote to compare
prices. Our customer service is happy to get you a quote
anytime 24 hours per day, 7 days a
